The First Light Story

GREGG ZONNEFELD
	Gregg Zonnefeld has been committed to serving in the world of education for more than 14 years. His has served as a teacher, principal, athletic director, coach, and development director. He currently serves as the Director of Advancement at Central Wisconsin Christian, a 4K-12 school located in Waupun. Gregg received his undergraduate degree in Secondary Education/History from Dordt College (IA), and is completing his M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Marian College (WI). He is involved with First Light as a marketing and design consultant.
MIKE VANDER BERG
	Mike Vander Berg has experience in both Christian Education and the business world. He taught high school math and technology in Christian schools for 7 years prior to becoming the Director of Software Development at a technology consulting firm. Mike is also the owner of a successful business called, Dynamic Internet Solutions; this business specializes in Web site content management systems for churches and Christian schools. Mike received his undergraduate degree in Secondary Education/Mathematics from Dordt College (IA) and his M.S. in Mathematics Education with an emphasis in Technology from St. Cloud State University (MN). He is part-owner of First Light Technology where he specializes in marketing and software engineering.
JEREMY EISENGA
	Jeremy Eisenga has been a Web Developer the past 7 years for a printing company, technology consulting firms and an educational service agency. He is also the owner and programmer of a successful business called Dynamic Internet Solutions (DIS). DIS specializes in Web site content management systems for churches and Christian schools (www.faithwebsites.com), as well as for small to medium-sized businesses (www.diswebsites.com). Jeremy received his B.A. degree in both Computer Science and Business from Northwestern College (IA). He is involved with First Light as a programmer and database architect.

RECOGNIZING A NEED

The importance of communication in our society and culture has never been more of a priority or a demand. These needs place a significant demand on the budgets of Christian ministries in their attempt to maintain high levels of communication for their staffs and constituencies. With shrinking budgets and higher costs the norm for all aspects of Christian ministry, the staff at First Light Technology wants to make a difference!

First Light wants to assist you in improving and developing the technology tools that mean the most to you. We are a distinctively Christian company, with a heart for Christian organizations. The entire staff at First Light has been actively involved in Kingdom building in our communities, and we want to help you do the same.

In the world of education, better communication between parents and schools means better results for your children. Our aim is to create a network of Christian schools and their staffs, sharing ideas across the curriculum. Our research contacts with leadership in schools around the country indicates that there is a desire to be more connected with others, sharing ideas of how is the best way to touch and impact the lives of the next generation of Kingdom leadership. On the local level, communicating with your supporting constituency has never been greater than in the 21st Century. Establishing and maintaining ties with your local constituency and developing more efficient ways to use the tools of technology to streamline the work we are doing will translate into cost savings and benefit your organization.

First Light Technology wants to connect as many schools and teachers as possible as quickly as we can to get them to use First Light Connect and see the benefits it has to offer. We are so convinced that you will see the difference that we are offering it as a free service. This is in line with our mission to help make a difference in the lives of the Kingdom's kids.

But we don't want to stop there. Our commitment is to stay in tune with the technology needs that your school has, and attempt to help you meet those needs affordably and efficiently. Our staff includes experienced educators and software designers who have served schools throughout the country. First Light Connect is just one module of what we hope develops into a package of tools that will meet the needs of Christian schools and Kingdom ministries for years to come. As needs arise, we will build affordable applications that can meet those needs and offer those add-on modules that will make your job easier!
